Example Itinerary:

Day 1
Upon arrival in Panama, transfer to the Intercontinental Playa Bonita Resort & Spa for a 3 night beach stay.



Evening Traditional Welcome Dinner
Panamanian traditional welcome dinner at the hotel including live musicians, a DJ, local 'empollerada' women in national dress  and entertainment. Highlights include a National Folklore show and a live 'Murga' (Panama band).



Day 2- Panama City Tour
Visit Panama Viejo, the first city founded in the isthmus by Spanish conquerors at the beginning of the colonization period. Head on to the second colonial city of Panama, Casco Viejo, built in 1673. Walk around the French Plaza and surrounding monuments and view a place where pirates and conquistadors once fought for wealth and power on the Path between the oceans. The architecture of this area is exquisite including French, Italian and Spanish styles.



Evening- Pirate Night at the Panama Bay
A chance to re-live the pirate era at this traditional pirate evening. Guests will be immersed in a fun-filled fantasy pirate world as the evening is spent cruising the bay on board a 'pirate' ship. Costumes are provided and an open bar ensures everyone embraces the pirate spirit before the grand finale firework show which simulates the guests being attacked by pirates!



Day 3- Panama Canal Tour
Morning transfer to Balboa Harbour on the Pacific side of the canal and board a Panamanian ferry for a Canal Transit. As you approach the canal, you will be able to observe the famous Bridge of the Americas. An English-speaking guide is onboard the ferry and will narrate the dramatic history of the building of the Panama Canal, which was completed by the US between 1904 and 1914.

 

Evening Gala Dinner at the "Torre of Panama la Vieja"
Step back in time with an evening dinner at the historic "Tower of Old Panama". Enjoy the traditional food and entertainment set within this wonderful setting.

 

Day 4
Depart the Intercontinental Playa Bonita Resort and head to the rainforest at the Soberania National Park for 2 nights at the Gamboa Rainforest Resort. As well as relaxing in the resorts fantastic facilities, ample wildlife tours are available offering opportunities to observe birds, mammals and the tropical rainforest at its best.



Day 5
Spend the day at your own leisure exploring the area or relaxing in the hotel’s spa, pool or on the Gatun Lake. Optional tours include: Aerial tram, night tours, birding tours, kayaking, fishing.

 

Day 6
Transfer to the airport for return flight.
