Venezuela is located in the northwest of South America, bordered by Brazil, Colombia, Guyana and the Caribbean Sea. Discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1492, the country gained its independence from Spain in 1811 and currently has a Spanish speaking population of 2O million people of mixed ethnic race and creed.

It is a perfect all-year destination offering great variety from rainforest to tabletop mountains, Andean mountains with everlasting snow and 3000 km of beaches. The climate is warm and tropical with an average yearly temperature of 28°C (79 F). Venezuela has much to do and see including Los Roques Archipelago, the Orinoco Delta and the wonderful Canaima national Park, home to the awe-inspiring Angel Falls.
